In my current position at CPT Electrical, I have completed a number of new domestic builds for multiple builders both big and small. Coming out of my industrial Electrical position after 2 years as an apprentice, I have gained even more experience in domestic running my own Jobs and training Apprentices as well as completing my Apprenticeship and Becoming an A-grade Electrician.

In this role, I have gained a lot of new experience in the industrial side of the electrical trade. I have learnt how to rough in on cable tray as well as build cable tray and have fit off a variety of 3 phase isolators, motors, VSD’s, control boards and 3 phase switchboards.

In this role I learnt to rough in and fit-off new homes working in a reasonable time frame to complete each task. This role taught me how to be both neat and efficient working in a new home. I also learnt how to fit off appliances such as ovens, hot plates, range hoods, and hot water elements. I also gained a lot experience roughing in and fitting off TV Antenna points and splitters as well as data points and NBN cabinets.

In this role is where I started my apprenticeship, and had developed a lot of skills in electrical fault finds, re-wires, rough in’s, fit offs and switchboard upgrades.

In this role, I carried out tasks such as taking ground levels for the excavator and grader operators, operated water trucks and rollers to compact ground works for new industrial factories. This role saw me into my electrical apprenticeship after finishing Secondary School
