Samuel Andrews (Ph.D. Biology) has worked extensively on anthropogenic affects of dams on anadromous fish migration, ecology, and reproduction through over a decade of telemetry in the Canadian maritime provinces. These projects have focused on Alewife, Striped Bass, and Shortnose Sturgeon among many others and covered such topics as winter ecology, genetics, migrations, toxicology, historical fisheries, spawning, sonar mapping, and habitat use. Samuel has published numerous peer reviewed publications and currently serves as the lead author for the COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada) review on Striped Bass in Canada and it developing research interests on locally uncommon fish species.
