As a legal assistant in the Docketing section, my daily duties included maintaining our case management software. This included corresponding with agents on initiating new investigations, preparing and proofreading charging documents, and ensuring all of the closed case materials met the legal requirements for storage and destruction. I was responsible for creating the system and procedures to lead our office from physical to electronic records.

I was a volunteer who regularly attended the two public schools in my village. My primary mandate was to teach about HIV/AIDS and sexual health while attending to my community's unique needs. Some additional projects included starting a library at the primary school, teaching leadership and English classes, and assisting cattle farmer's in utilizing technology to increase profits. I also was one of the two leads of the country that spearheaded Grassroot Soccer Training, a worldwide organization that teaches about HIV/AIDS through soccer practices.

Immigrant Hope is a non-profit organization that helps support those going through immigration processes in the Santa Barbara area. As a paralegal intern, I was tasked with helping assist clients in preparing the necessary forms and proofreading their submissions, mainly for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) applicants. Another project I led was to create a spreadsheet of all of the grants our organization would be able to apply for in the upcoming year.

Summer job I held for two years to help pay for college. The work mainly included leading a team of two or three workers in cutting lawns and ensuring that the customers were satisfied with our service. I would also sometimes help with larger construction projects and snow removal during winter.

I worked at Debo's Dogs helping serve Chicagoland's favorite way to eat bread - with a hot dog! Although I started the job at 16, I quickly gained many responsibilities. On top of ensuring our food exceeded customer expectations, my responsibilities included ensuring the money added up at the end of the day, maintaining a healthy working environment, and dealing with customers' problems. This job helped fund my car in high school and helped pay my way through community college.
