BIM Manager with over 12 years’ experience in industry, specializing in rail and civil engineering projects. I have a sound knowledge of ProjectWise and Common Data Environments, and possess hands-on experience in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microstation and OpenBuildings Designer, along with familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley i-Twin and Bentley Generative Components.Key Responsibilities:• Overseeing and supporting company-wide BIM processes, including the development of company BIM and CAD standards and templates.• The line management of a small team.• Leading design delivery, coordination, digital model management, and clash detection on a variety of schemes.• Producing design drawings and BIM-related documentation, ensuring project requirements are met.• Training teams to ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards and conducting regular audits.• Supporting bid proposals and the commercial aspects of projects, including developing 3D models, drawings, and project documentation.• Managing and maintaining accreditation to BS EN ISO 19650 by ensuring all processes and procedures adhere to industry standards and undergoing audits with BSI.• Embedding asset data into models to facilitate asset management.• The development of 2D and 3D parametric library components and node based scripts using Bentley Generative Components.• Providing training and support to our overseas offices.• Carrying out site surveys and the creation of survey specification documentation.• The post processing of lidar data and conversion of model information between project grids.• License management of CAD software.• The creation and development of seed/template files and management of project workspaces within the Bentley suite of software (Microstation and OpenBuildings Designer).• Chairing ‘The CAD Working Group’ an internal company management group that reviews, maintains and investigates advances and innovation in industry.
