I'm Sam Baldwin, a Sophomore pursuing a major in Finance, minors in Economics and Spanish, and a certificate in Investment Management. I'm very interested in the intersection between the qualitative and quantitative sides of finance. I'm passionate about the mathematical and analytical side of finance, yet I've always been very good at working with people and using communication skills to reach a common goal.In addition to my coursework, I'm actively involved across campus: I'm a member of K-State Finance Scholars and the Student Finance Association. Additionally, I am a proud member of the Theta Xi fraternity, serving as head of the Philanthropy Committee, contributing to various philanthropy events for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity and Multiple Sclerosis awareness. Beyond academics and involvement, I enjoy taking care of my personal health through weightlifting and running. I also hold a strong interest in topics such as music, foreign language, and chess. I'm a huge fan of football, born and raised a KC Chiefs fan, and enjoy playing volleyball.My aspiration is to be able to jump-start my professional career in finance by taking advantage of any learning opportunity I can from all different sides of the finance world. I'm actively seeking any hands-on experiences I can apply myself to and learn from.
