I act as a consultant on the Director team, per the request of Bryan Strole. Consequently, my responsibilities are providing leadership advisories and operational knowledge support to the Director team, with a current focus on Attentive & Courteous and Order Accuracy scores.

I enjoy having adventures and living life while having confidence in my physical health. My job at Advocare is to equip people with the supplements and vitamins they need in order to enjoy God's creation, their families, and their work without having to worry about whether they are getting the nutrients that their body needs in order to operate the way God designed them to. I build networks of like-minded individuals so that, as a team, we can reach more people and encourage one another as independent business partners.

In my pursuit of Chick-fil-A's International Grand Opening Trainer role I had to learn how to transform my knowledge and cultural skills as an US trainer to make Chick-fil-A borderless. This meant becoming completely confident with International Pathway (Chick-fil-A's policies and processes program), taking the Cultural Navigator (COI) Assessment to learn more about my own cultural tendencies and how to adapt to others, scheduling and completing coaching visits to grow my knowledge and expose blind spots in my leadership, working through a Metric System Literacy eLearning course, and becoming certified through TrainCan's Food Safety Course. As a result of this training, we were able to train efficiently and thoroughly. So much so, that at at the third restaurant opening several of the team members I had worked with joined our trainer team to help assist the new Kitchener location.

Three times per year, I had the opportunity to travel around the country to lend a hand in opening new Chick-fil-A locations and assist in transitions. It was my job to equip new employees, many of whom had never even heard of Chick-fil-A, with the skills they would need to ensure that every guest had a REMARKable Chick-fil-A experience. I thoroughly enjoyed passing on the passion that I have for Chick-fil-A to the team members I trained and did my part to make sure that the store would succeed, beyond operationally, by fostering a strong "family" culture among the team members. By the time I left a location, my goal was to have instilled the team with a strong work ethic, an appreciation for teamwork, and a commitment to treat everyone around them with Honor, Dignity, and Respect.

I had the honor to mentor a number of 8th grade boys every week. The class size ranged from 5 to 15 young adults and I have been encouraged to see God still moving in their lives today. I collaborated with 2 other teachers to effectively build a class atmosphere that was both challenging and compelling. Through this platform I had to be proficient and consistent each week in small group discussion, as well as large group facilitation.

In this position I was responsible for all Front of House operations and personnel duties. Training, hiring and firing, digital software systems, hardware troubleshooting, food safety, and leadership creation and definition were all just a part of my everyday duties. In this role I also came to realize my genius statement which is, "I collaborate between people, processes, and the past to create a future where individuals can be more effective, fulfilled, and successful."

My overarching purpose as a Shift Supervisor was to provide oversight of the front and back of house day-to-day operations. In the organizational structure, I was the link between the "boots on the ground" leadership of the store and the Executive Team of Chick-fil-A of Hendersonville. This necessitated that I maintained good work relationships with those above and below me and made myself an active part of the communication channel between both groups. As a Shift Supervisor, my job stemmed beyond passing on words; I had to be effective at translating value. What does each group value and how can I ensure each team is able to express themselves and feel appreciated by the other party?

My goal as the Drive-Thru Coordinator was to create a Drive-Thru experience where "The line never stops moving and the systems and people never stop improving." I was in charge of all the Drive-Thru technology, including iPads, headsets, and monitors. It was my responsibility to create a team and maintain their focus throughout the summer to ensure that our Chick-fil-A Drive-Thru experience was REMARKable. Our Drive-Thru was able to serve over one-hundred and forty cars per-hour during peak periods during this time.

My goal going into Leadership Development was to create a leadership team that, not only had confidence in their abilities, but also the blessing and confidence of my store's Executive Team. I wanted to create and equip my leaders with principles that would allow them to take ownership of, not only, their professional lives, but their personal lives, as well. By gathering and documenting tangible results, I feel that I was able to achieve this goal, and by the end of my time in this position, I had raised the number of leaders by 175% to 28 leaders total, front and back of house, night and day shifts.

I had the genuine pleasure to teach people of all ages the sport of skiing. I taught and coached one-on-one and in groups of up to fifteen. I learned how to effectively teach a complex physical skill by breaking it down and walking people through detailed sequential steps, one at a time. I was able to begin with individuals who did not know which end of the ski was the front or back, and coach them over a matter of minutes, and watch them ski down the slopes completely on their own with confidence. I trained one young man who had never been skiing before was able to ski down a black diamond (High Difficulty) slope by himself after he and I had two days of training.
