A West Midlands Firefighter having served in Birmingham, Paddington (London Fire Brigade) and now Coventry. Alongside being a being a full time operational firefighter I am also a Compartment Fire Behaviour Instructor (CFBTI). I support the delivery of CFBTI training & other areas at The Fire Service College. This has shown me an array of knowledge & skills from a number of different fire and rescue services nationwide.I have been involved with Firefighter Development supporting those at the beginning of their career right the way to assessing those maintaining competence in service. I have also delivered Initial Tactical Ventilation training to other services as they align with National Operational Guidance. Outside of the aforementioned roles I have took part in the National Breathing Apparatus Challenge, coming away with best BA and a team ranking of 2nd overall. I have completed many weekends at the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation challenges which in turn has took me as far as Lanzarote to showcase our skills from the U.K.I have been a project lead looking into the speed and weight of attack at dwelling fires within the West Midlands, gaining an awareness of Computational Fluid Dynamics and emerging trends in modern day house fires.I am actively looking to continually improve myself and cascade knowledge gained to my colleagues with the goal of being operationally excellent and most importantly, safe.
