As Associate Director, I undertake the following roles:· I run project resourcing and finances including variation discussions with Clients. · I manage staff across the whole company and also from various specialist consultants.· I assist the management of finance, human resources, Health and Safety, training and staff development.· Develop relationships with Clients, Suppliers and project teams.· Represent Clients at public exhibitions and public meetings.· Provide effective management of budgets and programmes.

As a Senior Engineer I was responsible for leading teams of up to 5 people. Roles included, in addition to my responsibilities identified as a Civil Engineer; management of staff, developing relationships with Clients, review project contracts, overseeing budgets and preparing invoices for my and other staff’s projects, and represent Clients at public and private meetings. I was also responsible for delegating works to technicians and junior engineers, and checking and approving works for issue to Clients.

As a Civil Engineer, I was responsible for the preparation of documents and designs. I was also in charge of managing projects and liaising directly with Clients. As part of this role I undertook the following:· Technical site investigation reports/feasibility studies for Brownfield and Greenfield sites, including access, drainage, services and sustainable transport research and analysis.· High level appraisals for due diligence or site searches.· Preparing Flood Risk Assessments.· Preparing foul and surface water drainage strategies. · Carry out complex drainage network designs using MicroDrainage, · Design of full comprehensive Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).· Preparing Transport Assessments.· Undertaking large-scale traffic distribution analysis, using Junctions 9 software and TRICS/TRAVL analysis. · Infrastructure design projects for Section 278, Section 38, Section 185, Section 106 and Section 104 Agreements.· Attendance at meetings with design teams, clients and approving authorities.· Preparation of fee proposals and programmes for new projects,· Managing budgets and programmes of work. · Invoicing and negotiating variations.

My role mainly involved assisting in the preparation of planning documents and designs including Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Transport Assessments (TA), feasibility studies, surface and foul water drainage design and highway design.I gained experience in using AutoCAD, Micro Drainage, PDS, Site 3D, AutoTurn, ARCADY, PICADY, and the Microsoft Office suite.
