Science education in an informal setting has been my long-term career goal for a while. Before joining the UArts Museum Education program, I worked as an observatory steward at my undergrad institution (Marlboro College, may it rest in peace). I led open nights for students on campus, as well as coordinating with local schools and boy scout troops. I was also responsible for the more technical aspects of running an observatory, which supported original research being performed by the college. The experience was formative for me, as it gave me my first taste of informal education, and ultimately led me to where I am today.
