As Associate Vice President of Student Affairs (AVPSA), I report directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs. I am responsible for providing overall leadership and coordination for student development and retention programs across the college and the coordination of these efforts within Student Affairs, including leadership in the areas that assist the college in identifying barriers to student success and promote equity and inclusion across the college. As the AVPSA, I have responsibility, supervision, and budgetary authority for multiple areas. Professional staff/direct report areas include: o Dean of Students (oversight of: Director of Student Life, Director-Fitness Center, and Three Case Managers)o Director of Advising & Retention (oversight of Career Services)o Director of Elevateo Director of Disabilities Access Serviceso Director TRIO SSSo Dean of Student Office ManagerMy career as a Student Affairs practitioner has allowed me to focus positive energy and passion into the coordination of services and advocacy for all students. Building partnerships and collaborations to support academic excellence and student success.
