Cyber Systems Engineer
CurrentTechnical manager for branch personnel developing and delivering support for submarine cybersecurity – information, communications, engineering, combat and weapons systems. Directing concerted efforts to implement cybersecurity practices, procedures, and processes into platform systems and associated enterprise/federated networks, architectures, and infrastructure. Leads, integrates, and collaborates with a diverse, cross-functional group of engineers, scientists, developers, operators, analysts and technical personnel involved in various Combat System Department projects and programs. Coordinates lines of efforts and lines of operations with fleet representatives – partners, customers, clients, executives, and stakeholders to support fleet requirements (current/continuous, future/emergent), operational needs and priorities. Plans, organizes, and directs new and on-going work to achieve milestones through project lifecycles to include requirements generation, test scenario planning, capabilities pairing, test execution, analysis, production, and reporting. Incorporates risk management concepts and industry best practices to identify technical risk, threats, and vulnerabilities; secures/hardens, assesses, monitors, and mitigates to maintain program cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
