Growing up with a home computer, many video game consoles, and a tech-adept mother sparked my fascination with technology at a young age. I have only been a student at NSCC for a short time, but I already feel comfortable and confident in my ability to write in HTML, CSS, and Python. I have also learned how to work in SQL, how to diagnose common network problems, and have sharpened my skills for working with Windows 10 as an administrator. I am currently learning Java, JavaScript, and C, as well as how to work with Linux (with a focus on using the Linux shell and terminal).I have been absolutely enthralled in my learning at NSCC so far. Learning to code has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I don't see it as boring work, I see it as a fun and interesting challenge to overcome. I am improving my programming skills every single day through practice, personal reflection, and feedback from my peers and instructors. I hope someday I'll be an excellent programmer, and I look forward to all the new skills I will pick up over the next year and beyond.
