Samuel a.k.a. Snail hails from the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Born into a family of musicians, music has always played a major role in his life. Samuel is a musician, Audio Engineer & Workshop Facillitator. He is one half of the hip hop group called Hinkey The Snail, the band gained popularity from their comedic homemade music videos and energetic live performances of their songs. They currently have four Albums/EP available on all major streaming services.Mainstream learning never appealed to Samuel and at just 17 decided to leave his hometown and travel around Australia where he loved becoming a local in each place, living and working for a few months before moving on to the next destination. While his peers were studying at university he found his knowledge from life experiences on his travels, eventually venturing abroad living in Switzerland for a period of time. When he made it back home to S.A, he decided he wanted to focus and devote his life to music. In 2017 he graduated from the SAE institute with a Diploma in Music Industry, specialising in Electronic Music Production. Armed with his qualification he started working at Northern Sound System as an Audio Engineer and Program Facilitator for NSS’s youth engagement programs. In the same year, Hinkey The Snail was a finalist for the “People’s Choice: Hip Hop Award” at the South Australian Music Awards.Co-founding the Creative Kingdom Academy alongside Mark Reilly is the newest venture for Samuel.The CK Academy provides hip-hop songwriting and vocal coaching in a group setting as well as offering one-on-one mentoring.
