Coordinating and participating in the implementation of traffic management plans on large scale civil works (including Downer Mouchel, Boral, and Fulton Hogan resurfacing works, the Northlink project, and most recently the freeway widening projects). All work is done in teams, ranging from 2-40 people in size (which I frequently led), and the key skills are strong communication and an acute awareness of the health and safety of the team members, client, and general public.

Used ANSYS to conduct finite element analysis on high frequency vibrating screens (used in mining and mineral processing applications), in order to find areas of high stress to address failures that had occurred on site. Primary responsibilities were constructing the model from the manufacturers design drawings, and analysing the model for high stress areas.

Quilmes Partido, Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina

Team leader for a work site on a volunteer program in Argentina. Managed a team of 8 Australian students while building a new bathroom and pool facility for a childcare centre in the poorest district of Buenos Aires. In addition to the work being done, responsibilities included liaising with the local workers and residents (which often had to be done in Spanish), planning and managing day to day tasks, as well as ensuring a high standard of health and safety for the team.
