The Men’s Rugby Performance Coach will be an integral part of the coaching team for the men’s performance programme. I will work on a daily basis under the direction of the Head of Rugby Performance and Men’s Head Coach. The programme consists of around 60 players who compete in BUCS Super Rugby and the BUCS Premier A division . In addition to contributing to a wide range of elements of the performance programme, I will take a specific lead for the development of the Premier A squad , lead the delivery of individual and skill-based sessions, and support the player movement within squads of the performance programme and linking to the wider club. The performance programme aims to develop students, supporting their progression as students and players, whilst achieving success on the rugby field.

WRU Exiles programme is to identify Welsh qualified players (aged 12 and upwards) who are based outside Wales and may have the potential to play regional or national age grade, and 'elite' senior rugby, in Wales.In recent years many boys have been 'capped' via the Exiles route and the Exiles programme has been responsible for numerous Welsh qualified players from all over the world engaging with regional rugby in Wales.To be eligible for the Welsh Exiles and WRU pathway every player has to satisfy Section 8 of the 'World Rugby' regulations, i.e. the player has to have been born in Wales, or one parent of the player has to be born in Wales, or one grandparent of the player has to be born in Wales.The WRU has strong links with rugby playing independent boarding schools in Wales as well as with universities in Wales where Exiles players choose to combine their rugby development with their academic progress.

Director of Rugby at Merthyr College Rugby Academy – As Director of Rugby at Merthyr Tydfil College I am responsible for the recruitment, development and management of players and coaches at the College. Responsibilities of this are too provide succession planning to ensure that qualified coaches are appointed to all teams and receive the appropriate training required by attending designated coaching courses. I am also leading the 1st team managing two assistant coaches.
