Working at Officeworks allows me to increase many of my current skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership. As well, this role motivates me to expand my social skills and to learn new skills. This role consistently has me working hard by providing excellent customer service, time management, product placement and organisation of customer orders.

My role consists of calling people and asking questions requested by the clients in order to gain valuable and an insightful analysis of the Australian and New Zealand population. Working in this role allows me to improve my communication and patience to talk to up to hundreds of people a day. The constant need to perform well and keep a reputable strike rate of successful questionnaires also improves my time and organisational skills.

In this recent role I frequently used my communication skills while offering excellent customer service to a variety of customers. The role required me to keep my time management and tidiness skills to an exceptional standard at keeping the sales floor tidy and giving a visually pleasant buying experience. My time at GANT has sharpened my customer service skills and further increased my enthusiasm for providing an energetic retail experience.

I was employed at Kmart on a casual basis. Working several times a week I had to cover a range of roles during my shifts. Some of the most common roles that I had to partake in is doing the refreshing and presentation of a certain section of the store such as the home section. As well, communicating to team members and customers is a common role that I had do to in order to do my job correct

I was employed at McDonald’s Maroubra as a team member on a casual basis. In this role I deal with a variety of roles in the back of house. Working back of house has me making orders. I also undertake general cleaning activities, stock fill and pack orders. Working as a crew member at an extremely busy fastfood restaurant has allowed me to grow substantially as a person. I worked as a team member at the ‘Cheese on a stick’ during the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2021 and 2022. I worked at the lemonade carts participating in making lemonade, at the register where I processed customer payments, and communicated well with my co-workers. Working at a high demanding business has allowed me to gain teamwork and adaptability skills.

I worked occasionally throughout the weekends helping my father at his landscaping company when he needed extra help. These experiences gave me an opportunity to increase my multitasking and maturity being around heavy and dangerous machinery.

I worked once a week on Saturday mornings to coach 4 age groups of young children to play soccer with another head coach. It taught me to be patient, calm and mature enough to take care of children from 18 months to 7 years of age. Overall, this job took a lot of dedication and time management to make sure the children were safe and enjoying playing soccer.

I worked as a medicine delivery boy for Bentleigh Centre Pharmacy. This role involved arriving on time to the pharmacy and processing prescriptions appropriately. Working in this industry as a first job allowed me to enhance my social and communication skills to deliver to the correct customer.
