Samuel Dotse (PhD Candidate @ EUCLID University), is Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of HATOF Foundation; Country Coordinator of Climate Action Network-Ghana, and Convener of the Global Environment Facility CSO Network in Ghana. He is an environmentalist with more than 20 years' experience of fostering and promoting environmental governance at national, regional and international levels - particularly working towards addressing a range of issues including, climate change, environmental protection, natural resource management, and protection of human health and well-being. He has particularly supported Ministries and Agencies such as the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Finance, Forestry Commission, Energy Commission, and Environmental Protection Agency, to manage programmes and projects, from the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), World Bank, Global Environment Facility (GEF), Green Climate Fund, and United Nations Industrial and Development Organization (UNIDO). Samuel also has 18 years of cumulative experience and proven understanding of capital flows from private and multilateral sources directed towards low-carbon and climate-resilient development interventions with direct and indirect mitigation and adaptation benefits. He has field experience in over 20 countries spanning Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and the United States, and occupied influential positions.Currently, he serves as a member of the African Union Scientific, Research, and Innovation Council; President of the National Chapter of ECOSOCC; Member of the National Steering Committee on Land Degradation Neutrality Target Setting; and Member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the Green Climate Fund National Designated Authority in Ghana.He also served as Deputy Presiding Officer of Africa Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC); Chairman of the Rural Economy and Agricultural Cluster of the ECOSOCC; Global Transitional Committee Member of the Forest Investment Program-Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous People and Local Communities; Regional Focal Point of GEFCSO Network for West Africa; Elected Focal Point, Africa Union CSOs and EU Partnership on Climate Change and Environment. He also served as the National Coordinator for the Partnership for Action on Green Economy – convening collective actions of UNIDO, UNDP, ILO, UNITAR, and UN Environment in Ghana.
