Oversaw 3-Shift Operation managing 200 hourly employees per shift (600 total) as well as mentored and developed 8 salaried employees per shift (24 total). Managed timely delivery of 4000+ parts used to manufacture production of Ford Explorer, Ford Taurus, and Lincoln MKS. Forecasted staffing, controlled overtime/total department cost, and assigned work to hourly staff. Strategically planned and executed unloading/reloading of 400 trucks per shift. Responsible for controlling off-site sequence center and 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) to unload material, sequence material, de-cant, and warehouse material essential to production. Enforced regulatory, safety, and OSHA requirements. Managed inventory of $20MM along with engineering changes that could support production of 1250+ vehicles per day. Responsible for cycle count program of 4000+ parts and scrap processing for record integrity. Also coordinated with Research and Development to execute cost saving initiatives associated with robustness changes, reduced complexity, and quality initiatives. Highlights: • Avoided $100K of obsolescence and scrap charges by initiating cross-functional engineering teams prior to new model launch. The teams identified more than 50 part changes to incorporate ahead of launch date to avoid large obsolescence and gain labor efficiencies. • Coordinated with Penske Logistics Team for comprehensive Inventory Analysis.• Analyzed daily inventory issues and shortages to identify Bill of Material errors, usage problems and root cause.

Oversaw $6MM of indirect material for entire assembly plant, including: gloves, protective equipment, repair parts, cleaning supplies, etc. Supported all departments in plant with timely delivery of indirect material. Ordered/maintained inventory to run assembly plant, developing supplier relations. Also responsible for the Preventative Maintenance Program of Powered Material Handling Vehicles plant wide. Highlights: • Developed delivery routes for daily requirements to increase efficiencies, saving time for other departments through satellite cribs for material storage.• Reduced indirect material costs by $1.2MM, ranking #1 in North America.• Accomplished 10% reduction of Powered Material Handling vehicles, increasing safety and reducing repair costs associated with parts and labor by 13%.• Member of Pedestrian Safety Committee - launching pedestrian aisles + red zones where safety vests are required.
