I have worked in the wedding industry and the construction industry. My time in the wedding industry was for 10 years. I learned much concerning communication and working as a team to achieve our goals, sometimes that meant doing things that were not always in my job responsibilities. My time in the construction industry was for 3 years. The time spent on job sites taught me of the different types of leadership and which ones got the best/most out of their employees.Wedding Industry:• Manage preparation of materials and inventory for upscale events ranging from $10,000-$30,000 ensuring client satisfaction.• Coordinate with venue staff ranging from 5-30 staff members to achieve precise execution of client’s vision.• Assist with training and supervision of staff, driving successful event management.Construction Industry:• Moved $20,000-$150,000 of supplies and tools to site areas to keep work moving smoothly.• Followed documentation and reporting requirements for project activities, safety concerns and incidents.• Volunteered to take on additional shifts during peak periods to keep projects with tight deadlines moving forward.I enjoy opportunities where there is a lot of growth/learning.
