The research project at hand was tracking and comparing fecal indicator bacteria (FIB) concentrations within 3 major Lee County waterways: Spring Creek, Imperial River, and Estero River. Most of my work time was spent going out to these rivers and collecting water samples at various sites by boat and land. Other time spent working with this was being a co-author for the project’s written report; to be later presented to the City of Bonita Springs, the 15th Annual River Symposium Conference, and the AWRA Annual Conference in early November 2020.
