• Devised a regional oil and gas exploration project targeting a Paleozoic petroleum system in the United States. • Correlated subsurface stratigraphy using geophysical well logs such as gamma ray, bulk density, neutron porosity, and resistivity. • Constructed isopach maps, cross sections, and attribute maps on the regional and local scales. • Interpreted pyrograms, thermal alteration indices, and petroleum-source rock correlations to determine hydrocarbon generative potential. • Identified potential fairway for Cabot to pursue in future exploration endeavors.

Appalachian Basin

• Interpreted lithology of well cuttings to construct accurate stratigraphic logs of wells drilled in the Appalachian Basin targeting the Marcellus Shale. • Determined geologic formation tops from well cuttings with the aid of MWD gamma logs, seismic data, and formation top prognoses data. • Constructed accurate logs of gas concentrations analyzed by an FID chromatograph coupled with drilling parameters measured throughout the duration of the well. • Provided daily updates on the status of drilling operations to the exploration and lead geologists covering the well.
