Sam May is a partner in our Banking and Capital Markets group and lead global engagement partner on one of our largest financial services G-SIB clients based in New York. During his career he has also served as the leader of our US Consumer Finance Group, which comprises over 200 professionals focused on providing consumer lending services such as accounting, regulatory, strategic and operational advisory services to banking and other consumer leading clients.Sam's focus throughout his career has been banking and capital markets with a particular focus on lending and credit and related technical accounting and operational matters. Sam has managed assurance and advisory engagements for a broad range of clients including large financial services firms, non-bank lending firms, broker dealers, and large corporations through significant global change—including business model reinvention, risk management, public offerings, acquisitions and divestitures—driving trust within the capital markets and our broader society. Passionate about building skills and opportunities and developing our people and growing their careers, including upskilling on data and generative AI. Sam is a licensed CPA in several states in the US and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
