My work at the HEIA-FR enabled me to carry out various projects in different areas of computer science, ranging from academic research to application development, in collaboration with companies (SwissDotNet, Grammont Finance).I have also supervised various students on projects and placements, given programming courses to pre-bachelor students and supervised database practical work to bachelor students. These experiences, with both students and teachers, have been very enriching and have given me a varied insight into various areas of computer science and data science engineering.

At OptaMed, I'm lucky to be able to work on many different aspects of development: online appointment scheduling (HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/SQL with CodeIgniter), API/licence server (meanJS - MongoDB, Express, Angular, NodeJS), application (electron/VueJS), invoicing (PDF.js), etc. This allows me to be flexible and learn about different aspects of application development. For me, creating concrete projects is a very important element that motivates me to work on building intuitive websites and applications for my clients. Building websites is a perfect example of a concrete project, because each client has different needs, budgets and ideas. This allows me to create websites with a unique design, sometimes with customised modules to fully meet the needs of the business. In this context, I have the opportunity to work a lot with CMS websites (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal), mainly on the development/integration side, creating custom modules/extensions, or creating themes that incorporate the design mock-ups I receive. I also create a website from start to finish, including design, graphics and, of course, development and training in the use of the CMS.
