In this position I've had the opportunity to help with several large scale projects in Northern British Columbia. Within these projects I've conducted water quality programs on numerous watercourses ranging from S1B's to S4s and completed several fish salvages throughout. Also, I've had the opportunity to conduct several watercourse classifications and habitat assessments in remote watersheds within the province.

During the previous four summers between University I would contract out of a small fly fishing shop in Coleman, Alberta. A usual day would consist of either providing float or walk and wade trips for clients from around the world. I would provided homemade lunches, transportation to and from the various fishing locations as well as flies and miscellaneous equipment as needed on the water.

During my final year at UBCO, I helped run the data collection portion of a stream quality study in the Shuswap and Salmon Rivers. My tasks included collecting field samples weekly as well as measuring and recorded stream discharge of several small tributaries to each river. Back in the lab I would analyze the data for dissolved phosphorous, total phosphorous, dissolved nitrogen and turbidity in each sample.
