CurrentAs the environmental contact for the project I maintain liaison and represent the project with UTB and other agencies, on environmental areas of interest within the assigned areas of responsibility. I am the "Community Right to Know" Information Contact. Other responsibilities listed below include:• Provide input on all matters pertaining to the environment and its impact on operations in relation to facility planning, operations and maintenance as related to strategic planning.• Make decisions on environment that affect the operations of programs and the basic continuity and character of the operations and the economy of operations. The position requires decisions and compromises in operations in view of public relations implications.• Assists in the development of work practices to control or minimize environmental releases caused by hazardous operations, practices, conditions, or environments.• Prepare reports, when required, in the areas of assigned responsibility.• Provide specialized assessments and technical guidance on environmental compliance and managementSafety and Health duties include:• Establish and maintain contact with site health and safety supervision and management, as required to fulfill health and safety commitments on assigned projects.• Anticipate potential safety-related problem areas and evaluate and recommend solution or corrective actions. • Perform routine audits, assessments and inspections and document results. • Calibrate and operate IH instruments, gather data, perform calculations, enter data in spreadsheets, maintain logs, analytical results and IH related paperwork and records.
