If you ask me about the pros and cons of different VTOL designs, I could talk for hours. If you ask me about the benefits of exercise on mental health, I could talk for longer. If you ask me to talk about myself and my qualities... umm... well...Combining a wide variety of skills and experience from teaching piano to travelling the world, working one on one neurodivergent individuals with to coaching badminton has honed my skills, particularly in communication, an analytical mindset, and patience. A combination of these skills, personal experiences, and seeing it first hand in people close to me has led me down my current path of learning about mental health, with a vested interest in developmental psychopathology. I am currently an undergraduate student studying life sciences and psychology at the University of Waterloo. Courses I have taken such as developmental psychology, introduction to neurological disorders, and advanced data analysis have allowed me to bridge the gap between the theoretical concepts, current research supporting those concepts, and identifying clinical presentations. I am also volunteering in multiple initiatives to further my knowledge and skills including "Move Your Mind"- where we work one on one with another student to promote mental and physical health through exercise and "enTECH"- where we assist the elderly with technology issues.
