I have always had a strong passion for engineering, design, and fabrication. I grew up on a small farm with countless unreliable vehicles and machinery. My father made it a point to always fix things ourselves whenever repairs were needed. This instilled a passion that led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. After earning my degree from The University of Alabama, I worked for three years as a research and development engineer at Essentium Inc., a growing 3D printing start-up company based out of Austin, Texas. Working in R&D and technical sales on 3D printer technology proved to be an amazing opportunity to learn to adapt quickly and problem solve while continuing to grow my interest in pursuing a career in mechanical engineering. I now work for PERI 3D Construction and was the project lead on the first home printed in the US with Habitat for Humanity in Tempe, AZ. I was responsible for spearheading the US division of PERI 3D construction and now work as a “jack of all trades” as we continue to grow our presence in the US market. I am responsible for business development, technical sales, project planning/execution, R&D, facility management, 3D design, fabrication, and engineering services.
