Hardware and firmware design and development for video broadcast products using FPGAs.

Rotated between different technical roles in the graduate program. Assisted Telstra in maintenance of their network and constructed a test node for them. Was involved in the corporate responsibility and sustainability strategic action committee.

Performed a variety of penetration test for POS and eftpos machines and prepared reports for both the customer and regulatory body. Designed and performed attacks in both the hardware and software domain. Worked with clients to improve their designs and documentation.

I undertook this project with the CSIRO space centre. I worked independently on this project, building on the digital design skills I developed in my Honours project. Initially the project was to port the System Generator module to an Altera platform for comparison, although its scope was expanded into writing entirely platform independent VHDL for use in the ASKAP back-end. Set up, mixed and packed down sound reinforcement equipment for live music. Solved the inevitable string of problems involved in working with aged, damaged equipment in venues. Formed relationships with musicians and promoted myself and handled tax/accounting.
