I am currently working for the State of Oklahoma overseeing pavement marking program for the state. I work on the revisions to specifications, implementation of new marking products, testing of new products and method, and anything else to do with markings. Additionally, I work with all marking material vendors, manufacturers, and contractors of the state, and on this I do a lot of networking not just with this group but also internal staff and even staff of other state DOTs. Pavement Markings are not all I do as I have experience with sign installation, IWS equipment experience, and project management of striping, school zone, and signing projects. I got in to this position after working my way up from a transportation specialist 2 position handing all speed studies, speed zoning, and eventually running the school zone program. I have a good amount of experience in project management, correspondence, and networking. Prior to working with the state I was in school studying meteorology and geography working numerous joins including work in student affairs and information technology. Through all this I developed a passion for networking, pavement marking, and project management!
