Previously, I did a substantial amount of animating in Adobe Flash which I think helped me get in The Advanced Television and Film Program at Sheridan College. Since then, I have been creating videos and graphics for myself and others for many years; whenever anyone I knew needed help, I'd find a solution. That's because I really enjoy finding inventive solutions for different peoples design solutions. For over a decade I have worked with IATSE 873, the largest local film and television union in Toronto specifically for technicians. To aid in developing my knowledge, I've had the pleasure to have worked in several separate departments on set over the years, including the lighting, grip and camera departments.Today, I have hundreds of hours of hands-on experience in film and television production, working on dozens of different television shows and several films, during all different stages of production, shot all over southern Ontario. Since 2021, I've had the opportunity to work exclusively in the lighting department. This has allowed me to hone my craft and learn how best to light subjects to serve the story of the scene at any given time, and that has been invaluable to my art.My experience with IATSE 873 has allowed me to not only foster a laser focused work ethic and a deeper appreciation for creative content, it has also allowed me to connect with foster my communication skills industry experts of all walks of life. Respecting others experience and learning from likeminded individuals about the various connected elements of film and television has inspired me to want to take on leadership positions such as an art director or creative director in the future to teach and help grow the next generation of young creatives.
