Sam Hercules is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of wealth management, banking, and big four experience in the fiduciary tax compliance and consulting arena. He focusses on helping wealth management firms manage their compliance risk in meeting their fiduciary obligations.As a Senior Manager in the New York office of ERNST & YOUNG LLP, Sam specialized in trust and estate planning and compliance. He served as the National Fiduciary Tax Advisor and Tax Counsel for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management as part of the Office of the Chief Fiduciary.Sam spoke at several seminars for the American Bar Association, American Law Institute-CLE, New York State Bar Association, and the Committee of Banking Institution on Taxation (CBIT), discussing fiduciary tax issues.He also served as a member of the Editorial Board of the U.S. Trust publication Practical Drafting®, edited by Richard Covey. Sam earned his B.S., cum laude, in Accounting from Long Island University; a Juris Doctorate, from Brooklyn Law School; and his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova Law School.
