Sam’s work within the Species Programme focuses on supporting the implementation of species-related conventions and agreements, such as the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) family of agreements, the EU Wildlife Trade Regulations (EU WTR), and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). This includes data processing, analysis, and visualisation, and contributing to the production of technical reports.

Supporting the Species Programme on work related to The African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA).

Worked with academics in the Centre for Environmental Policy on a research project investigating how well protected area networks represent terrestrial biodiversity indicators across three biodiverse tropical forest regions (Tropical Andes, Congo Basin & Indonesia-Malaysia).

Assistant rugby coach for 1st XV senior and junior rugby teams and PE teaching assistant for students aged 4-18.

Taught children aged 6-18 new sports, as part of a summer camp aimed at improving the children’s spoken English. In 2017-18, I had additional responsibility as the lead staff member for a whole school.
