I have been a student at the University of York since September 2022. The course has numerous modules, such as economic situations, the laws of conservation, climate change mitigation and economic and ecological principles. The course on environment, development and society was particularly interesting. I have had to analyze data, write essays, deliver presentations in small groups, write reports and work to strict deadlines. I am very much enjoying the course and the university.I enjoy being active and outdoors. Mountain walking, in particular, is one of my favourite hobbies. Spain has several significant peaks not far from where I live, and I have walked up La Concha in Marbella and other local mountains, often for charity. I have also climbed Snowdon, Slieve Donard, and Scafell Pike. I plan to climb Ben Nevis soon. I have been involved with Scouts since early childhood, as my mother is a Scout leader, both in Kuwait and Spain. I used to attend camps in the country I lived in and international jamborees. I currently attend the Network Scout group at York, and I enjoy the thrill and challenge of the tasks. My parents are teachers and I undertand the value of education. When I was very young, I attended The British School of Kuwait but soon moved to The English School in Kuwait. Then I transferred to the English International College in Marbella, Spain, so I consider myself multicultural. I have an Explorer Scout first aid certificate and the Chief Scout Platinum Award. I am very practical and enjoy the outdoors.
