Fitter and Turner with almost 10 years of experience in the manufacturing and engineering sector. I hold a Fitting and turning Trade test and in 2021 added an Electrician Trade test and recently been given the responsibility of Acting Maintenance Manager. I have a vast amount of experience in CNC machining, Servicing of CNC machines and installation of CNC machines. I am also a draughtsman on SolidWorks.Special Achievement:1 Draughtsman for SAVEP (South African Ventilator Emergency Project) project CPAP 100 (Continuous positive airway pressure) , learning to standardize the drawings in accordance to BS8888 , learning about DIN and ISO parts and how to source them, working closely with the plastic injection company to ensure the parts that are outsource are correct and learning all about having everything up to standard to ensure it receives SAHPRA approval. All this was done between 1 to 2 months.2 Opportunity to integrate various systems to CNC machines such as Hydraulic power packs, as there is not so much information out there (Google or Youtube) its quite the difficult to figure out and know your way around the PLC and system settings of Fanuc and Mazak machines3 As a hobby I like to entertain myself with Arduino's and some other electronic components and after some struggling, a couple of Youtube videos and some other enthusiastic hobbyists code I managed to build a PID controller for a dc motor with encoder, from a h-bridge motor driver module (BTS7960B) and Arduino Uno.Reasons to hire me:1 I am a technical skilled person with a logical approach.2 Always keen to learn new things, there's always something new to learn.3 Having a Trade as a Fitter and Turner is in my opinion valuable as a employee in any of the two fields (or both) as you get to make a part and fit a part, giving you extra knowledge in tolerances and the ability to ensure any system can run seamlessly.4 As a person with the ability to see in 3 dimensions and been employed as a Draughtsman I have a better understanding of different fitments of parts together and the tolerances to achieve them, for example if a part is needed and needs to be machined without a drawing I possess the experience to work without a drawing.5 I am a quick study and have always been able to conquer all the challenges thrown my way.6 I am a loyal and honest employee trying always to think of the business first before making any decisions.
