Senior student leadership role on campus. I was elected as the convener for the group of five residences and private student organizations which made up the Victoria cluster. The role entailed representing the students of those communities in the broader university management structure, developing leadership on campus, and working towards progress in times.

Selected as a mentor in my residence, I was given the responsibility of guiding 5 newcomers through their first year at university in an academic, social, spiritual, and emotional capacity. The role taught me much about myself and allowed me to form strong relationships with my mentees.

Participated in a Vodacom Data Science Internship Program under Jaco Du Toit. Developed a supervised regression model for prediction and mapping of fibre sales across South Africa, with a focus on building an automated feature selection technique based on Information Value Maximization.

Worked in a small team to execute process mapping of the Business School’s MBA operations using BPMN standards, and developed and suggested more efficient systems.

Underwent developer training for back-end expansion and support of Project Management software “Quantivia”. Developed skills in PHP, JS, and HTML, and gained insight into the realities of project management.
