Lamptey Samuel is a visionary and dynamic person with a high sense of responsibility. Focused on accuracy, he is noted for going the extra-mile to achieve personal and corporate goals. He has adept knowledge in GLOBALGAP, EUREPGAP, BRC, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 QMS, RSPO, IFS, TQM, HACCP, EIA and EHS. His leadership skills and involvement in scientific research especially in the area of Agricultural production, Agricultural Extension & Value Chains, Agricultural Marketing and Trade, Postharvest Technology, Integrated Pest Management, Product development, Food security, Food processing, Food safety and quality assurance/control has equipped him with the requisite technical expertise, skills, attitude and knowledge in confronting the dynamics of the food and agriculture industry. He has delivered GAP training to out grower farmers of NORPALM Ltd and has also served as a teaching assistant with the Crop Science Department of the University of Ghana. He is a distinguished scholar of the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme and a recipient of the Maths, Science, & Technology Scholarship Scheme (MASTESS) from the Government of Ghana. He is also a member of the Ghana Institute of Horticulturists (MGhIH) and the Canadian Association for Food Studies (CAFS). Over the last six years, Samuel has gathered practical work experience in both academia and industry to take up challenges that confronts the food and agriculture industry. Samuel has a BSc. (hons) degree in Postharvest Technology and an MPhil in Crop Science from the University of Ghana. His long term career objectives includes: 1.Building a comprehensive framework of information on which food laws that seeks to provide producer and consumer protection will be built. 2. Developing the livelihoods of farmers in developing countries to be resilient to disaster risks 3. Stimulating ground breaking research in sustainable agriculture, climate change, food safety, food security and quality assurance systems in the food industry
