• Seek creative and restorative alternatives to criminal proceedings against young people, in collaboration with whānau, hapu, iwi and our communities
• Make certain that young peoples’ voices are heard and that they have a say in decisions affecting them
• Ensure that the right people are involved and the right information is available to Family Group Conferences to inform the decisions and planning
• Enable the victims of youth offending to participate meaningfully in the Family Group Conference process
• Work closely with our partners and stakeholders in our communities to foster collaborative relationships and help build their capacity to make a difference for children and young people in our community

• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders and service providers, including Courts, Iwi, Police, victims, education and addiction service providers, to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
