As an Advisory, my role at Fiserv has shifted to become the main point of guidance for our team in technical matters, while still retaining a hand in the day-to-day aspects of being a software developer.I am brought in to assist with critical or high-visibility issues for our clients, and advise on technical initiatives and strategies from within our team.I also provide advice and support to our other development team members.

In 2014 I returned to Fiserv as a Senior Developer in the Sustained Engineering team for our Mobiliti product.Sustained Engineering is a tight-knit team whose main focuses are the support and maintenance of our in-production customers, the upkeep and enhancement of our Mobiliti product, and the development of features to improve the delivery and usage of our software for both internal and external consumers of Mobiliti.As a Senior Software Developer in the Sustained Engineering team my responsibilities included working on and providing advice for critical issues faced by our customers, providing technical guidance on how to improve the processes we use to deliver to consumers of our code, and developing features to enhance both our product, and our ability to support our customers.

Evolution software was founded when the internal software division of a successful direct response television sales company was split off to develop a SaaS ERP system to later market to other companies, as well as supporting their parent company’s current business systems.At Evolution Software I was a senior developer a team where my responsibilities included:• Maintaining and troubleshooting software issues with the company’s existing software infrastructure, and supporting their end-users (staff).• Developing new features to the company’s ERP software suite, and assessing items from the feature backlog.• Integrating feature modules provided by other teams with the company’s current software.• Extending current features in the company’s ERP suite to aid in their expansion into North American markets.

After returning from a few months studying in Korea, I began working as a full-time application developer at CallPlus. CallPlus is a successful New Zealand-based telecommunications company that provides voice and data services to both residential and business customers.At CallPlus I was responsible for developing business automation tools (such as CRMs and ticketing systems) as part of a small Scrum team using Agile development processes, and worked on a business-to-business API that enabled vendors to re-sell CallPlus’s services.

Employed as a full-time software developer and technical lead at Mobile Commerce Limited (M-Com). M-Com was a successful company that provides mobile banking and payment platforms to major banks around the world (Mobiliti) which was eventually acquired by the US-based financial tech firm, Fiserv. I was involved at an early stage of the company's growth by developing core components that were and are used by hundreds of financial institutions.At M-Com I got to work directly with clients at home in New Zealand, in Australia, the USA, and South-East Asia.As a technical lead I worked closely with clients to provide technical guidance at all stages of the project, either alone or leading a small team using an agile scrum methodology.This involved providing technical guidance on feature customization and design, integration, installations and go-live support.
