Cold Spray Research Engineer leading commercial/government cold spray(CS) projects from proposal to execution utilizing resources throughout the company and some external. Responsibilities of this role include directing CS research focus and fulfilling those internal projects as well. Actively working with multiple modalities of cold spray including additive manufacturing, geometry restoration, and advanced coatings.Prior work includes developing and demonstrating repair methodologies of high cost / low volume parts. The majority of those being marine and aerospace applications. Spray planning, machining, fixture design, robot programming, and mechanical testing were some of the aspects I was responsible for. My educational background includes two years working in a graduate microscopy group where I got acclimated to the world of metallurgical analysis through use of UConn’s innovations partnership building where I learned to use an SEM and aided in novel TEM sample preparation.
