Managed HVAC component of the Fleet Modernization Projects. Coordinated the fleet modernization projects with Marine Operations and the Execution team to ensure the projects were completed on time and keeping the Executive team fully informed as to their progress. New Technology Initiative Lead which led to the recommendation of a 3D modeling implementation to delve deeper into design details, refine concepts and perform engineering analysis such as stability, CFD, and FEA.

• Manage the operations of the engineering detail design group.• Developed and implemented quality control and process improvement measures that led to a 50% cost reduction within the assigned Engineering Department group.• Established relationships to promote and execute inter-departmental process improvement processes, acting as liaison between the department and production, project management, and IT.• Led in the integration and optimization of technologies with our processes such as a FORAN (Shipbuilding CAD/CAM/CAE), CNC pipe benders, CNC profile roller, and CFD vessel launching simulations.• Develop and track man-hour budgets for the projects based on scope of work, schedule, and available resources.

• Provided consulting services to develop CITRIX solutions to migrate IT infrastructure to the cloud. • Developed a comprehensive cloud solution for a startup in less than 2 weeks after signing the purchase order. The solution included virtual desktops, email server, ERP server and VOIP. • Liaison between the customers and IT teams during project implementations.• Trained end-users to properly take advantage of the tools provided.

• Established the infrastructure to develop proposals to secure additional funding and manage the awarded projects until closeout.• During my tenure, the center grew from a $300,000/year pilot study to an NIH Center of Excellence with over $2.5 million/year budget.• Designed and implemented the grant submission process and work flows that resulted in $18.3 million of additional funding over a 9-year period.
