In two successive international assignments with Nabors I led the Finance, Human Resource, and Administrative functions for two country-level operations. In this challenging but deeply rewarding role I led teams of 100+ Sudanese and expatriate team members as the head of two remote field hospitals serving the population displaced by the fighting and violence in the Darfur region.Every day presented fresh challenges, whether it was the ongoing logistical difficulties of sustaining a hospital in a remote area without running water and electricity, or ensuring continuous supply when the roads are controlled by a variety of militias with ever-shifting zones of control.
