As has been mentioned above my main employer at the time was Nicks's & Co Builders (Pty) Ltd. However, apart from being a Class 1 construction company on its own Nick's & Co Builders (Pty) Ltd was the parent of a grouped own company that comprised of TWO other subsidiary smaller Construction companies and ONE investment company specialising in office space rental and real estates of which all fell under my portfolio as the group 'Operations Manager'.

This was my first ever job and during my time there my department was responsible to monitor the transit of Yachts in our Country in order to ensure that the appropriate taxes or guidelines was being observed at all times. In addition to the latter ALL ships entering the ports had to cleared by our office in terms of duty free goods in transit present on board as an example. The monitoring and clearing of high valued goods also fell in my job description as Seychelles is a relatively small country that is mostly reliant on imports up to today in 2021 therefore the overall quantity of exports was very limited.
