Core responsibilities entail all aspects of systems administration in an enterprise level environment. The related technologies include, but are not limited to Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, VMware ESXi and Cisco UCS and HyperFlex blade server technologies. I handled all tasks related to the administration and engineering of our VMware environment, which consisted of three datacenters containing over 1,000 servers and more than 2,500 XenDesktop machines.- Migrated all rack based VMware servers in our three datacenters into the Cisco UCS HyperFlex and blade platform in order to improve rack density and save on hosting expense.- Migrated our entire VSphere 5.5 environment to VSphere 6.0; and later VSphere 6.7.- Built all new virtual servers for our environment as well as the creation and deployment of our XenDesktop master images using Citrix machine creation services.- Worked directly with our in-house development team to deploy any new server environments that may be needed, as well as any servers needed for migration to Windows Server 2016 and Server 2019.- I was directly instrumental in our company-wide SARS-COV2 response. On short order, of under a week, I brought on-line three new Cisco UCS chassis consisting of 24 blade servers for our work from home initiative; all machines were configured with VSphere 6.0 and added to our XenDesktop cluster. These new servers were used to expand our XenDesktop environment, which allowed many of our employees to work remotely.

Primary responsibilities entail design, implementation and maintenance of HIPAA compliant VSphere and VMware View environments in a medical practice setting. Additional responsibilities include installation and configuration of new and existing Windows domain environments, configuration of group policy, Exchange and SQL administration, Active Directory administration, network installation and configuration, SAN and NAS configuration, installation and maintenance of enterprise backup solutions and software license management including the configuration of Microsoft KMS services.- Designed and implemented a multi-site WAN based VMware View environment for one of the largest dermatology practices in the Chicago area.- Installed and configured a data center based multi-host VSphere environment to service multiple WAN connected branch medical offices.- Created new domains and implemented all related infrastructure for medical practices converting from paper records to electronic medical record systems. Implemented group policy to insure HIPAA compliance, migrated existing profiles where required and configured secure local and off-site backup solutions for patient records.- Group policy implementation, Active Directory administration, Exchange administration and management of all aspects of multiple Windows domains.- Administration of Linux based servers integrated with PACS imaging devices used in the medical industry.

Primary responsibilities entailed providing technical support to internal employees and external clients with various credit, debit and check processing servers and application systems. Additional duties involved monitoring of payment processing servers to ensure that client payment files, maintenance files and account update files are being processed correctly through our secure file transfer system. The Client Technical Services department is also responsible for on-call support.- Designed division SharePoint site and several sub-sites for each department.- Developed electronic documentation for products supported by the department.- Provided phone technical support to banking and credit union staff for credit and debit card processing software.
