• Manage earthworks teams, establish labor requirements, set up a night shift and assign tasks to ensure the execution of the work according to the schedule and the budget• Supervise, coordinate and organize the work of the different specialties of the earthworks department (drilling, blasting, rock consolidation, excavation, backfill and sheet pile retaining walls)• Develop working methods for rock consolidation work (rock dowels, rock bolts, grout and wire mesh) and existing dikes enlargement work• Prepare tender documents, negotiate with proponents, choose the subcontractor and set up the drilling and blasting contract (several million dollars)• Manage the subcontractor responsible for blasting the spillway channel (275,000 MT) in order to ensure the completion of the work while respecting the planned schedule, quality requirements and safety requirements• Optimize drill and blast design to reduce costs by more than 15%• Manage and optimize sonic drilling and instrumentation works of the existing dikes to shorten the critical path of the project by one week• Develop and plan the scope of work for certain special projects such as sheet pile retaining walls, rock consolidation with shotcrete and waterproofing of a sedimentation pond

• Plan and optimize construction operations for mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls• Optimize contract, design and construction of gabion walls to reduce costs by more than 10%• Manage retaining wall materials flow to ensure work without interruption• Coordinate and optimize the design of a lightweight embankment with subcontractors• Estimate and establish detailed budgets to control the costs of several projets

• Coordinate engineering and construction operations• Estimate durations and plan work sequences• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure meeting of project schedule and budget• Negotiate multi-million dollar supply contracts by limiting costs and ensuring compliance• Study the profitability of projects

• Responsible for quality control and supervise 6 excavation teams• Analyze budget, production, performance and objectives of projects• Calculate excavation and backfill volumes with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Bluebeam Revu• Produce work plans to optimize the work• Purchase and control the receipt of materials
