I currently serve as an appellate defense attorney at the Office of the Chief Defense Counsel, Department of Defense, where we represent detainees incarcerated at Gitmo and charged with alleged war crimes. I am the lead appellate defense counsel for Omar Khadr. I also have extensive experience in the executive clemency advisory process, having served as a staff attorney at the Office of the Pardon Attorney in DOJ for more than a decade. If you are interested in submitting a petition for pardon or commutation of sentence to the President, either on behalf of a client or for yourself, I am available to consult with you about the best way to get through the administrative gauntlet at DOJ.
