I am a GCC Engineer (mine and works) with more than 5 years combined experience in the mining industry, one year experience in steel fabrications and fleet maintenance (side tipper trucks). My mining experience includes both underground and processing plant where I covered maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. Key responsibilities I have covered during my GCC Programme includes maintenance planning, installation, operation, maintenance procedures and standards , commissioning and decommissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment, critical equipment listing, operations and workshop management, finance/budget control, health and safety measures, implementation and maintenance Key equipment that I have covered in my mining experience includes types of pumps for fluids and solids pumping, conveyor belt systems, vibrating screens, v-belt drives and couplings, electric motors and cables, types of compressors, Variable Speed drives, power reticulation and correction, tranformers and substations, refrigeration plant, main and auxiliary ventilation fans, winding plant, underground railbound equipment, Trackless Moving Machinery, surface and underground fuel stations, underground and surface dams.I have worked in steel fabricating workshop using a laser cutting machine, welding and cutting equipment to fabricating chutes, bins, conveyor belt structures, piping systems, moving machinery enclosing guards, walkways and platforms. These equipment were installed mostly at smelter, processing and water plants respectively.I have also worked on the maintenance of side tipper trucks which were transporting mineral concentrates to smelter plants respectively. Maintenance of the trucks includes, periodical inspections, services, parts replacement and condition monitoring of the fleet. Equipping trucks with safety features required by multiple clients for operation i.e power stations, smelters and mines.
