Kenya

1. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing wildlife security led trainings in East Africa. 2. Responsible on the developing and managing a formal program of instruction (POI) that is a role-based and progressive model.3. Responsible on the developing and managing curriculum relevant to different law enforcement officers that handle wildlife security.4. Coordinating and carrying out role based training with ifaw partners and serves as the training point of contact with the same partners.5. Carrying out monitoring and evaluation of all training programs conducted under the wildlife security docket in ifaw EA and in collaboration with partners.6. Assisting by with enabling high-quality information collection in support of tenBoma operations and initiatives while at the same time assisting in the coordination and implementation of the same.

Nairobi

In collaboration with the Head of Programs assist in setting and monitoring relevant budgets and project fundraising for the wildlife trade program.v. Identifying, liaising, and managing the ongoing development and collaborative working relationships with national agencies, conservation and research organizations and inter-governmental organizations in the Horn of Africa.vi. Working with the Head of Program and Communications Manager to develop campaign plans and key messages to raise awareness of IFAW EA’s WTP conservation and animal welfare campaigns and agenda.vii. Ensuring quarterly reporting of relevant project activities.viii. Taking lead role in organizing and coordinating of various regional and international meetings in relation to the wildlife trade program.

Lamu Kenya

Duties and responsibilities:i. Gathering and collating biodiversity and socio-economic baseline dataii. In consultation with the Zonal Forest Manager-Lamu, Forest Officer in charge of Boni-Dodori ecosystem and other stakeholders, identify the capacity-building needs for forest communities and other stakeholders.iii. Involved in development and implementation of an integrated Boni-Dodori forest ecosystem management plan.iv. Taking lead in implementing participatory forest management, including development of community-based forest management structures, group constitution, group registration and facilitation.v. Taking a lead role in the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation plan for the project.vi. Lead role in participatory development and implementation of sustainable forest and non-forest livelihood options.vii. Adhere to WWF’s technical and administrative requirements regarding the coordination and implementation of the work plans including timely preparation of work plans, budgets and technical progress reports.viii. Working in close consultation with the Programme Manager/ in drawing work plans which should be approved by the same and in monitoring activities as per the monitoring scheduleix. Mobilized service providers to support community in areas of agriculture, health services provision and other extension services.x. Provided facilitation during training workshops for communities and partner institutions.
