Samuel Mutahi is the Wildlife Crime Program Officer for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) based in Nairobi Kenya. With over 13 years’ experience, I contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of Wildlife Crime Program projects and campaigns in East Africa.I also facilitate and deliver training on combating wildlife crimes with major strengths on wildlife species identification, wildlife scene of crime management, CITES and evidence handling and management. Some of my major accomplishments include taking lead role in planning, organizing, coordinating and facilitating of over eight national and regional training's with about 400-law enforcement officers from Customs, Police, Military and Wildlife Authorities trained in five countries in the Eastern Africa region.I have an educational background in Environmental science from Kenyatta University, PRINCE2 project management, a diploma in Journalism and is pro wildlife and environmental conscience in my day-to-day life.I am passionate about the environment as a whole and I am to use my environmental and organizational skills to ensure sustainability of the environment at the same time conserving the integrity and existence of indigenous communities.
