As the Company Agronomist for Frigoken Limited i was the lead grower who advised on crop protection ,crop nutrition and spearheaded agronomy trainings for farmers and staff on both company owned outgrower schemes and company owned farms in Eldoret. My role also included conducting trials and researching on seed best seed varieties and agro inputs for the company mainly on caaned French bean varieties. Crop planning and budgeting for the 200 acres leased farms in Eldoret was my responsibility.

At Latia Resources Centre i managed the greenhouse and outdoor growing of commercial vegetables ,trained farmers on vegetables production ,i trained staff on hydroponics production of vegetables and conducted off site farms trainings for farmers on donor funded Telephone Farmers Project. This role combined farm business planning ,technical growing aspects and training roles.

• Overall farm management -in charge of 13 acres of greenhouse and outdoor export herbs for Dutch market, implementing growing programs and training programs and certification standards.• Achievement -started the herbs project from greenhouse construction and set up the production systems and certified the farm and eventually exported chives, Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Coriander and Dill to Netherlands.

• Providing technical advice for production of bulk vegetables (French beans, Tender stem Broccoli, Runner beans, Baby corn, chilli, Lemon grass) and herbs production – perennial (chives, Tarragon, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme) and drilled herbs (Coriander, Dill, Parsley) on 156-hectare production area.• Managing food safety issues and any emerging food safety concerns and conducting new crop trials.• Managing compliance and certification processes.• Conducting training needs assessments and trainings for production and technical teams on the farm and developing and implementing training programs.

• Providing overall agronomy advice for production of bulk vegetables (French beans, Tender stem Broccoli, Runner beans, Baby corn, chilli, Lemon grass) and herbs production – perennial (chives, Tarragon, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme) and drilled herbs (Coriander, Dill, Parsley) on 156-hectare production area.• Preparation and presentation to the Farm General Manager of annual farm production budgets per crop and labour requirements.• Liaising with the commercial team and pack houses on day to day market demands on both bulk vegetables and herbs sales and providing visibility via weekly forecasts.• Liaising with Finlay’s Group agronomist in UK on any product issues or product trials and keeping up with industry trends.• Preparation and implementation of irrigation, fertigation and Spray Programs• Conducting daily crop assessment on pest, disease and nutrition status and making the necessary recommendations for a healthy crop.• Improving the production systems and labour efficiencies where possible beyond set budgets• Managing any accreditation or certification required for the farm to be compliant.• Managing farm labour numbers based on set tasks• Monitoring on weekly basis production costs per crop against set budgets
