I am a Tax Partner at Grant Thornton Kenya with over 22 years of experience, including 19 years at Grant Thornton, offering accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services.I have extensive experience in VAT, Personal Income Tax, and Corporate Tax, providing advisory and compliance services across various sectors such as financial, hospitality, trading, shipping, insurance, agriculture, and manufacturing.I have assisted numerous multinational clients with tax-efficient restructuring and due diligence assignments.Additionally, I have resolved tax audit issues raised by the Revenue Authorities on behalf of my clients, having built important relationships within these authorities. I am involved in reviewing tax assessments, challenging the findings of KRA on local tax laws and practices, and leading efforts in exploring alternative dispute resolution or appeals at the Tribunal level.As a member of ICPAK’s Public Finance and Tax committee, I have lobbied the Kenyan government for tax law changes to align with business practices, promoting development and investment.
