For the last decade, I've managed international development and human rights programs, with experience in the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and Southern and Eastern Europe. I enjoy building and leading strong teams to achieve good outcomes for our world. I have special interest and demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation, humanitarian aid, food security, and livelihoods programming. I have developed proposals and managed projects funded by a wide array of donors: UN agencies, USAID (OFDA), European Union, BPRM, DFID, NZAID, and several family foundations. Prior to my work in international development, I specialized in human rights research and advocacy, and I maintain a keen interest in this field. I speak Spanish and Arabic, in addition to English.
